Aman, known as the Blessed Realm, was a continent in the far west of Arda. To protect their home from the shadow, the Valar fortified the central region, naming it Valinor. It became the dwelling of the Powers, a land of eternal light and ancient peace.
Because so few maps of this continent exist, I have spent months researching, charting, and illustrating this representation of Aman. Drawing directly from Tolkien’s descriptions in The Silmarillion, I have applied my background in geology and physical geography to reconstruct the mountain ranges and coastlines of the West as they might have truly appeared.
But I must warn you: mere mortals are not permitted to enter Valinor. We all remember the fate of Númenor when they last attempted to do so. For now, we are relegated to admiring the beauty of the Blessed Realm through this map.
