From nomadic cowboys of the Tibetan Plateau to the Hindu devotees of the Kathmandu Valley, the people here have adapted to life in these inhospitable terrains.

From the intricately carved temples found in Nepal to the grand monasteries of Tibet to the ancient outposts along the Silk Road, history beckons to be unfolded in amazement.

 

These are the Highlands of Himalayas and Tibet, a vast region of interconnecting mountains in the heart of Asia, stretching from China to Central Asia. Around every corner a new mystery and wonder unfolds, inviting the wanderer to connect with nature and the simple lives of the people who call these highlands home.
